    Eye candy for ME

I know there are more bowtie fans here, but c'mon, ya gotta admit this still is pretty nice...

How could you not like any 427 dual quad 4-speed. But $70 grand I think he is asking a bit much for a Ford.

You couldn't build an aluminum 427 Camaro any cheaper.

I think you guys are behind on pricing. That's about right.

    Re: Eye candy for ME

That must be an aftermarket motor. An original 427 side oiler would pretty much command the 70K by itself without a car attached. i ain't no Ford expert, but i know where the big money is, and is not(anywhere in my vicinity).

Edit:while i'm rather fond of Cragar S/S's, i think at the 70k level i'm gonna have to see the correct rally rims with proper trim and a decent matching paint scheme on them.

    Re: Eye candy for ME

I used to build 427 Cobra kit cars. Always used a side oiler in them stroked with a 428 crank. They were getting hard to find then and I had to source the various parts vs a "crate" motor. Tunnel ram manifold is useless for the street-medium riser was the way to go. 2-4's were a bit better than a single quad but for all practical purposes were more for bling than performance. Most of the race cars used a single. I like bling so I used the duals.

That ain't a tunnel ram, you are very confused about this car. A tunnel port is something VERY different. Nascar motor.

Here is a Tunnel port Shelby launching...

A car like this is not built for practicality BTW.

Most likely it's Dove stuff but probably a 50k motor in that car.

    That ain't a tunnel ram,
I the classic sense i agree, but technically it might qualify if it's a fully open plenum design.

What "we" consider a tunnel ram doesn't fit under a hood.

I'd absolutely wager that low end throttle response and streetability positvely suck with that combination. WOT up on the cam might be a totally different experience however.

210's in a living room might not be practical either, but we do it.

My old 8x10 camera is a pain to lug around, but if you have to ask why, ya just don't get it...

Some guys climb Mt Everest for recreation...not me.

I'm willing to make concessions about low end response, a Nascar motor is designed to operate at WOT. But the motor is big enough I'm sure it's drivable.

We nutzoid males do a lot for a few seconds of bliss...

My idea of a daily driver would be an original z/28. Very tractable, yet strong when you want it.

OTOH, give me a choice between it and a 427 Tripower Stingray. Yer gonna find I ain't a practical man.
